Service Description

Our full day Whole Lamb Barbecue Masterclass will immerse you in the world of the gaucho barbecue, teaching you both fire pit and 'parilla', or grilling asado techniques. Guided by the Vargas Brothers, Lautaro and Luciano, you will learn to combine live fire, smoke and succulent meats in the grand tradition of the pampas' gauchos. We’ll teach you how to cook a number of classic joints as well as delicious accompanying sides and sauces and by the end you’ll have learnt how to use a wide range of traditional asado techniques, cooking slow, medium and fast on both the ‘parrilla’ grill, ‘chapa’ hot plate and fire pit. We’ll start you with the basics of a solid fire, generating a constant stream of red hot embers and show you how to tailor that heat for each dish, taking in beef steaks, choripan, pork, roast vegetables, beef ribs, whole sea fish and the centrepiece whole slow-cooked, fire-pit lamb. Taking place in Cambridge's own polo country, the village of Lode, the Asado Barbecue Masterclass runs from 9am to around 5pm taking in breakfast, lunch and dinner. A range of drinks will be on offer including wine, beer, tea and coffee. With a minimum 8 needed for the day to go ahead, class numbers top out at 14, though with a little advance notice you are welcome to invite a couple of friends or family members to help polish off the food at the end of the day. We also offer Asado Barbecue Masterclass lessons for private groups wanting to run corporate away or team building days as well as stag and hen parties. These make great gifts too, giving a Masterclass on behalf of loved ones for birthdays, anniversaries or just out of the kindness of your heart is always a treat. 😁
